About Covenant Desk

Covenant Desk is lending operations software for Hong Kong licensed money lenders and finance companies. It is used by credit, underwriting, repayment operations, compliance and management teams in Hong Kong. The product connects loan intake, human review, borrower records, repayment servicing, multi-company oversight and CDS-ready data preparation into one workflow. Covenant Desk is not a lender, not a credit reference agency (CRA) and not the operator of Credit Data Smart (CDS) or the Credit Reference Platform (CRP). It does not issue credit reports and does not replace the lender’s final credit decision.

Covenant Desk is not a lender, credit reference agency or Credit Data Smart platform operator.

The operating model is straightforward: the lender owns the borrower data and makes every credit decision, while Covenant Desk supplies the software that makes those decisions executable, permissioned and auditable, acting as a data processor on the lender’s instructions.

Market focus

Why the focus is Hong Kong

Hong Kong money lending has a combination of conditions a generic international lending platform does not handle: what licence conditions require a lender to be able to evidence, several licensed companies under common ownership, day-to-day operation in both Traditional Chinese and English, FPS repayment reconciliation habits, and the access-control expectations of the PDPO and the Code of Practice on Consumer Credit Data.

Topics the product covers: Lending operations software; Loan origination systems; Loan management systems; Repayment operations; Borrower records and Customer 360; Multi-company lending oversight; Credit Data Smart readiness; Hong Kong money lender operating workflows; Role-based access control for borrower data; Lending audit trails

Implementation approach

From scope to roll-out

  1. 01

    Scope

Confirm company structure, existing ledgers, data sources, role permissions and the operating break that hurts most.

  2. 02

    Source mapping

Complete field mapping and write down the data flow for every connection before any sync runs.

  3. 03

    Pilot

Run one company or one product line alongside the existing system and verify data and permissions.

  4. 04

    Roll out

Extend the verified configuration to other companies, teams and workflows, keeping the audit trail intact.

How content is reviewed and corrected

Primary sources first

Product boundaries stated

We do not describe Covenant Desk as a lender, a CRA, a Credit Data Smart operator or a substitute for the lender’s final human decision.

Nothing unverified is published
